Why is my desktop computer internet faster then my Laptops internet?

Model: Wireless
F5D7230-4 Wireless G Router

Netcomm nb6 ADSL2+ modem router

my desktop is my main computer with the modem connected to it.

A lot of the time the computer that is hardwired to the modem/router will be faster. If you have more than one device connected to the internet at the same time the laptop will be or wirelessly connected device will be even more noticeably slower.

It could be that the laptop’s processor is slower, thus is is slower at page rendering

Wireless is generally slower.
